For the financial year ending 31 March 2021, the Council's Annual Governance & Accountability Return (AGAR) has been completed. As neither the gross expenditure nor gross income for Great Alne Parish Council exceeded £25,000 for the year ending 31 March 2021, the GAPC was able to certify itself as exempt from a limited assurance review by the auditor under section 9 of the Local Audit (Smaller Authorities) Regulations 2015.
There is no requirement to have a limited assurance review or to submit an AGAR to the external auditor, provided the PC has certified itself as exempt at a meeting of the authority after 31 March 2021 and a completed Certificate of Exemption is submitted no later than 30 June 2021. GAPC held its Annual Meeting on 19 May 2021, at which it confirmed its exemption status, and the completed Certificate of Exemption was submitted to our external auditor appointed by the SLAAA - in our case PKF Littlejohn LLP- on 8 June 2021. A copy of the Certificate of Exemption is attached on the right hand side of this page.
The following documents are published on the right hand side of this page:
1. the approved Sections 1 & 2 and Part 2 of the AGAR; and
2. the completed 'Notice of Public Rights and Publication of Annual Governance and Accountability Return (Exempt Authority)'
3. 'Local Authority Accounts: A Summary of Your Rights'.
The AGAR and all accounting records are available for inspection by any local government elector of the area of Great Alne Parish Council between Monday 14 June 2021 and Friday 23 July 2021. Further details can be found in documents 2 and 3 above, which are on the right hand side of this page.
