GREAT ALNE PARISH COUNCIL DOCUMENTS:

The Agenda (Notice) is published three working days ahead of the next meeting and is then is available from the list on the right hand side of this page.

CODE OF CONDUCT

Laws relating to a new Code of Conduct for Parish Councillors came into effect on 1 July 2012. Click on the downloadable document Code of Conduct on the right for further information.

Alternatively there is a hard copy of the Code on the noticeboard by the Memorial Hall.

We currently have a vacancy for a councillor so you will see that some areas are not presently covered. Please contact the Clerk if you have any concerns or the councillor responsible for the relevant portfolio.

There are currently no entries in this register.

ANNUAL AUDIT

Each year the Council's Annual Return is audited by an external auditor appointed by the Audit Commission- in our case Grant Thornton UK LLP. Any person interested has had the opportunity to inspect and make copies of the Annual Return and all books, deeds, contracts, bills, vouchers and receipts etc relating to them. For the year ended 31 March 2015 these documents were available on reasonable notice on application to the Clerk between 15 May and 12 June 2015. The Annual Return has now been submitted to the external auditors.

FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000:

As per the Freedom of Information Act 2000 Great Alne Parish Council is committed to proactively publishing information. The Freedom of Information Publication Scheme commits us to publish certain classes of information. It also specifies how the Parish Council should make the information available, what the Parish Council can charge, and what the Parish Council needs to tell members of the public about the scheme.

RECREATION GROUND SCHOOL ROAD B49 6HQ

Mr Theodore Neal, formerly of the Long House, Park Lane gave the field (approximately 2.1 acres) to the village in 1927 to be used as a playing field. Should it be no longer required as a playing field it is to be returned to his heirs. Meanwhile, the Parish Council maintain the recreation ground and the play equipment and any concerns should be addressed to the Clerk.

IN AN EMERGENCY:

Each year Warwickshire County Council, in conjunction with the Parish Council compile a booklet detailing procedures and useful contact information in the event of an emergency within the community. The Great Alne Parish Council Community Emergency Plan 2013 is currently being reviewed. If you have any queries please contact the Clerk.
