CODE OF CONDUCT

Laws relating to a new Code of Conduct for Parish Councillors came into effect on 1 July 2021. Stratford on Avon District Council reviewed their existing Code and then adopted a new Code of Conduct with effect from 1 May 2018. The Parish Council also decided to adopt this Code of Conduct and the new Code was approved at the Annual Meeting on 12 May 2022. PORTFOLIO HOLDERS ON THE PARISH COUNCIL

The portfolio holders are currently being reviewed. However, Councillor Mr I Millard is the Parish Council representative trustee for Great Alne Parochial Charity. Councillor Mr Melvyn Jenkins is the Parish Council representative on the committee for the the Great Alne and Kinwarton Memorial Hall. Please contact the Clerk if you have any concerns about anything in the village.

FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000:

As per the Freedom of Information Act 2000 Great Alne Parish Council is committed to proactively publishing information. The Freedom of Information Publication Scheme commits us to publish certain classes of information. It also specifies how the Parish Council should make the information available, what the Parish Council can charge, and what the Parish Council needs to tell members of the public about the scheme.

CONTRACTS

The mowing contract that the Parish Council has with Limebridge Rural Services Limited for the amenity areas and playing field for 2022-2025 is available for review from the Clerk.

RECREATION GROUND SCHOOL ROAD B49 6HQ

Mr Theodore Neal, formerly of the Long House, Park Lane gave the field (approximately 2.1 acres) to residents of the parish in 1927 to be used as a playing field only- free of charge. The Parish Council has recently registered the Recreation Ground at the Land Registry (Title number WK483110). The Parish Council maintain the Recreation ground and the play equipment and any concerns should be addressed to the Clerk.

IN AN EMERGENCY:

Each year Warwickshire County Council, in conjunction with the Parish Council compile a booklet detailing procedures and useful contact information in the event of an emergency within the community. The Great Alne Parish Council Community Emergency Plan 2018 has been submitted to the Coventry Solihull and Warwickshire Resilience Team.

The Parish Council have published an Information Guide to Personal and Community Resilience which was distributed to every home in the parish. A downloadable copy can be obtained from the right hand side of the page.
